Happy Birthday Overchurch!

11th July 2014

On Friday we celebrated our amazing school being 75 years old.

We dressed up as children from 1930s and 1940s. Some of us were officers, some of us were children and some of us were even refugees.

In our classes, we all learned poems, dances, games and songs from 75 years ago and performed them for the whole school.

Later in the afternoon, the Mayor arrived and toured the school with our School Councillors. The Mayor commented on the children's superb manners and exemplary behaviour. the Mayor planted a celebratory tree, cut the special cake and raised our new flag celebrating our fifth consecutive year of being awarded Eco School status.

Thank you to all the children, parents and staff for all your memories, hard work and incredible outfits!
