Hello!!
The Friends of Overchurch Infant School is made up of parents, carers, teachers and family members of children attending our school; we first set up our group half way through the school year in 2022 and we aim to work together to host many fundraising events to help raise money for the school and the benefit of all children attending.
Our events cover a variety of activities throughout the year for everyone to enjoy from our famous Freezy Fridays, bake sales, pre-loved uniform sale and so much more. All our events are geared towards supporting the school and providing additional funding for equipment and resources that they would not get through statutory funding; therefore enhancing the experiences and learning for all the children.
We also like to organise additional treats for the children and to help families out by covering the cost of transport on school trips, organising children’s entertainment and even the odd ice cream treat too!
In May 2022 the Friends of Overchurch Infant School received a National Award for ‘New PTA of the Year’ in the ParentKind annual awards event for their achievements in their first 12 months as a school support group.
What we have funded so far…
-The purchase of 6 brand new iPads for the children to use whilst learning
-A number of bikes and trikes for the Early Years provision
-Coaches for the whole school to attend a Pantomime trip and for years 1 and 2 to go on a trip to the Zoo
-A variety of items for the Forest School to be accessed by all pupils
-Air Fryer Oven for the nursery class to partake in baking activities
-Christmas presents for all the children & Ice cream van visit in the summer
-The purchase of 4 picnic benches to aid outside class learning
Get Involved!
We try to meet up once a month for our ‘Planning and Prepping’ sessions; where we chat about upcoming events, discuss new ideas, discuss funding requests or put together resources for upcoming events.
This is an informal meeting where everyone is always welcome, we are a ‘Friends of’ group so you don’t have to have a child attending our school, grandparents and local businesses are also welcome.
We rely on the help of volunteers to keep our group going and enjoyable for all. Joining us is a great way of meeting new people, making new friends and trying something new or sharing your wisdom!

· Easy Fundraising – download the app and do all your online shopping this way, we can earn a donation for money spent online at no cost to you at all! Over 6,000 retailers are linked to Easy Fundraising including Amazon, Asda, M&S, travel companies, car insurance etc.
· Stikins name labels – We have partnered with Stikins who provide personalised name labels for your children to go in their uniforms, pencil cases, shows, lunch boxes and even water bottles! · Match Funding – can your place of work offer any match funding opportunities for our events? Let us know!
· Raffle/Auction Prizes – we host a few raffles each year and are always looking to make new connections to donate prizes, please help us out!
· Donations of pre-loved uniform – we would love any donations of pre-loved uniform that we can sell to raise money for our school.
