General Data Protection Regulation May 2018
From the 25th May 2018, new regulations were introduced which affects how our School handles people’s data. This was called the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and has subsequently been replaced by UK GDPR which came into force on 1st January 2021. It sets out the key principles, rights and obligations for most processing of personal data in the UK.
Compliance with the regulations is an ongoing process and the School have appointed a data protection officer to advise and manage compliance with the regulation.
