Our third annual Brilliant Balloons event was a resounding success, bringing together families, staff, and children for a day filled with joy, learning, and community spirit.

The day began on a high note with a wonderful rendition of “Reach for the Stars” by S Club 7, performed beautifully by our school choir. Their voices set an uplifting tone that carried through the entire event.
A highlight of the day was an inspiring and insightful talk from Colette Longden, who explored the regulation and dysregulation of young children. Focusing on triggers, brain development, and stress responses, Colette’s talk provided valuable understanding and practical strategies for parents and carers.
Families had the chance to speak one-on-one with 14 different professional third-party agencies, covering a wide range of topics and services relevant to child development, education, and wellbeing.

Children and their grown-ups enjoyed a colourful array of balloon-themed activities designed to encourage creativity and collaboration. Many also took advantage of the open access to our beautiful forest area at the front of the school, making the most of the outdoor space to explore and play.
And of course, no celebration is complete without a sweet treat—over 1,000 biscuits shaped like balloons were enjoyed throughout the day!
Brilliant Balloons once again highlighted the power of partnership between school and home, reminding us that when we work together, we can help every child truly reach for the stars.
