This week we received our Green Flag 2026 award. This is testament to the work of Mrs Collins and our wonderful Eco Council children who worked hard to complete an environmental audit of our school.
They had lots of areas to look at and the children had lots of ideas and questions about how our school runs and who makes decisions about things like waste, our food suppliers, recycling and water use. They considered our strengths and where we could improve. They then chose priorities for the year and the planet patrollers did lots of work in their lunchtimes getting ready for our seed giveaway and cascading information in their classrooms.
They all loved improving their understanding about our fox family and raising money for a local charity. The children were also rewarded with a few lunchtime trips to forest school and a biscuit! Thank you Planet Patrollers!
