At the ADHD Foundation’s Conference this week in Liverpool, we were presented with the ADHD Friendly School Award by the Foundation’s patron Rory Bremner. This is recognition for the school’s inclusive work around Neurodiversity and making the ADHD Foundation’s six pledges central to the school’s practice.
“It has been a privilege to work with Overchurch Infant School, brilliantly led with enthusiasm and commitment by the headteacher, Steve Elliott and Inclusion Leader, Alex Newman. The staff have gone above and beyond to make their lessons and their school environment enjoyable, supportive and safe spaces for the children with ADHD and I’m glad that they are getting the recognition for this that they deserve.”
