I hope you have all had a relaxing summer holiday and were able to spend some quality family time together.
As always this year, we will be focussing on improving children’s phonics, early reading skills and fostering a love of reading. Our Reading Stars programme will restart on Monday 16th September and we look forward to seeing you at the reading celebration assemblies – you will receive a ParentMail message in advance of when your child is due to be presented with a certificate.

During our class reading sessions, we will be placing a huge emphasis on developing the children’s vocabulary. Please look out for tweets about our ‘words of the week’ and encourage their use in different contexts. As you know we pride ourselves on our ‘open door’ policy and will always make time for any conversations with you. The best time to do this is usually when the children leave at home time. Have a wonderful Autumn Term!
